Mopeds can be hired for €3 a day and an excellent massage from one of hundreds of outlets costs less than €10 for an hour. A private taxi from Bangkok Airport to Pattaya costs €30. It is very hard to spend much money when such high quality food, drink and activities cost so little.
Pattaya is straight insane, with every kind of entertainment an adult could wish for. With many, many options such as multiple water parks, International Go Kart tracks, watersports, professional Thai Boxing events, impromptu fashion shows, shopping malls, bargaining with market stalls, scuba and snorkeling, temples, historic sites, beautiful scenery, restaurants and street food. Thousands of pubs, clubs, Go Go bars and strippers. O and of course walking street, which is a laugh even if you are just looking. The hotel offers a beautiful and much needed relaxing break form the excitement of the town. Pattaya is the Amsterdam of Asia.
The flights are provided by full service 5* airline Etihad, with good flight times and as short a transfer as possible. These are truly excellent flight choices to Thailand. The transfer from the airport to the beach resort is cheap, a private taxi is less than €30 and around 90 minutes, depending on Thai traffic. From the hotel to Pattaya city is less than 10 minutes and taking a train from Pattaya to Bangkok is €1.
You can also choose to stay in Bangkok for a few days, enjoying the 5 star luxury of the Millennium Hilton, commanding impressive views of the Chao Phraya river and a brilliant location to explore the exciting city of Bangkok and the amazing tourist attractions lining the river, including Wat Pho’s gold covered 46 meter Reclining Buddha, the Grand Palace and the scary climb to the top of Wat Arun.
